The Monash Indigenous Centre offers units that aim to encourage students to understand the past and contemporary experiences of Indigenous Australians, their cultures and histories.
We offer a range of undergraduate units in areas such as Indigenous history, anthropology and archaeology. You can take a major or minor as part of an undergraduate degree. We also have postgraduate studies including PhD and Masters programs.
Researchers at MIC are involved in exciting projects both here in Australia and around the world.
The Monash Country Lines Archive is an important research arm of MIC and actively works with Indigenous communities throughout Australia. The resultant animations, while created for community use, have with community permission also become an important source of teaching materials and Honours and Post-Graduate research. We see the MCLA as growing and becoming more entwined with the day-to-day teaching and research of MIC and cognate disciplines such Film and Television and Media and Communications.

In addition, Monash Indigenous Centre upholds the Terms of Service standards administered by Facebook. Facebook encourages all users to utilise the 'Report' links when they find abusive content.
